A limited-run production of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged” will take place in the Thomas H. Empey Studio Theatre from Nov. 19 through 23.

The play is a parody of all 37 plays written by Shakespeare, completed in 97 minutes. According to director Cameron Michael Fehring, the play is bold, irreverent, and energetic.

The entire production is performed by three actors who were recently seen in “Young Frankenstein:” Wyatt Buhler as Daniel, Denton Decoteau as Adam, and Solomon Henderson as Jess. Buhler portrayed Frankenstein’s assistant, Igor. He also appeared as Percy Jackson in last spring’s “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. Decoteau, Frankenstein’s monster, also starred in “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” as Mr. Bunner. Henderson took on a variety of roles in “Young Frankenstein,” including a villager, a mad scientist, as a part of the “monster chorus,” and as Ziggy and Steward.

The play will make its way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, and tragedies. “It’s chaotic in the best way, leaping from one Shakespeare play to another in a whirlwind of comedy while managing to highlight the timeless genius of the Bard,” noted Fehring. “Shakespeare’s work has always had a perpetual flair, but what I love most about “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged” is how it distills that timelessness into something both widely accessible and riotously funny,” he added.

Tickets for “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged” are on sale online at caspercollegearts.cc, at the box office, or by phone at 307-268-2500. The box office is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets for each performance are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students aged 5 to 18. Evening performances begin at 7:30 and matinees at 2 p.m.

The Empey Studio Theatre is located in the Gertrude Krampert Center for Theatre and Dance on the Casper College Campus.
