Master the art of precision and power with the Casper College machine tool technology program. Machinists are the elite technicians of the industrial world, using blueprints and advanced designs to fabricate complex parts with tolerances as thin as a human hair. Whether you are a traditional student looking to enter a high-wage trade or a nontraditional professional seeking to master Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems, our program provides the technical edge you need. You will work with a wide variety of materials, learning everything from manual band saws and milling machines to cutting-edge, multi-axis CNC turning centers.
We offer a career-ready associate degree and a streamlined certificate to prepare you for the precision metalworking profession.

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) is designed for direct entry into the workforce, but your education doesn’t have to stop there. Through our partnership with the University of Wyoming at Casper, graduates can apply their A.A.S. degree toward an online Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Technical Studies. This pathway allows you to work as a professional machinist while earning a four-year degree that prepares you for high-level project management and industrial leadership. Learn more about Transfer Agreements.
Are you a licensed teacher or teaching with a PIC permit? Are you interested in teaching this subject matter in classes at the junior, middle, and/or high school levels? You can complete a set of courses within this program to qualify for a career and technical education teaching endorsement. Learn more about which courses count toward a CTE endorsement.
At Casper College, I found a place that respected my work ethic and invested in students like me.
