Turn your passion for engines and mechanics into a high-demand career with the Casper College automotive technology program. Whether you are a car enthusiast looking to turn a hobby into a profession or a hands-on learner seeking a stable trade, our program offers the advanced technical training you need to succeed. You will master the diagnosis and repair of modern vehicles, from complex electrical systems to engine performance, using the same diagnostic tools found in professional dealerships. At Casper College, we provide a supportive, shop-based environment where you learn by doing—working on real vehicles and building the confidence to become a trusted automotive expert.
We offer two practical pathways to get you shop-ready, whether you want a quick entry into the workforce or a more comprehensive technical education.

While the A.A.S. degree is designed for immediate employment, your education doesn’t have to stop there. Graduates can apply their degree toward an online Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) at the University of Wyoming at Casper, allowing you to advance into management or business ownership while you work. Learn more at Transfer Agreements.
Are you a licensed teacher or teaching with a PIC permit? Are you interested in teaching this subject matter in classes at the junior, middle, and/or high school levels? You can complete a set of courses within this program to qualify for a career and technical education teaching endorsement. Learn more about which courses count toward a CTE endorsement.
At Casper College, I found a place that respected my work ethic and invested in students like me.
