Spring registration for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Casper College is now open.

The open request period, which runs through Saturday, Jan. 16, is open to all those who would like to join for the 2021 calendar year. “Those wanting to renew or start a new membership can go online and join and request the classes they are interested in taking this spring,” said Jeaneece Schmidt, lifelong learning specialist.

The cost to join OLLI is $60 per person and includes five complimentary classes during the calendar year. The spring 2021 semester features more than 55 different learning opportunities, including day and evening classes and trips to local and historic locations.

On Sunday, Jan. 17, OLLI will run a lottery for classes to ensure an equitable process for all members. According to Schmidt, class registrations are not final until after the lottery. “After the lottery runs, we notify members as to what classes they ‘won’ and any payment owed. Confirmation and payment for these classes have to be made by Friday, Jan. 22,” Schmidt noted.

Members can also receive over-the-phone assistance for requesting OLLI classes January 13-15 from 1-4 p.m. each day. Members can also pay over the phone January 20-22 from 1-4 p.m.
