Casper College Career Services is hosting the free Casper College Healthcare Job Fair Friday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fair will be held in the Chapman Lobby and the Robert and Ruth Dove Conference Center on the second floor of the Walter H. Nolte Gateway Center. Prospective college and high school students, alumni, and the public are invited to attend the fair to learn about current and future job opportunities.
Connect with Employers at the Healthcare Job Fair
Attendees can connect with healthcare employers from Casper and nearby counties to explore job opportunities in various fields, including positions that involve direct patient interaction or behind-the-scenes operations.
Job fields represented at the fair will include direct patient care, such as nursing, certified nursing assistant, obstetrics, emergency medical services, pharmacy technology, radiography, respiratory therapy, surgical technician, phlebotomist, and more.
Other careers featured include information technology; administrative and clerical support; patient support services; groundskeeping and maintenance; dietary and food services; environmental services, including housekeeping and sanitation; billing and coding; transportation and patient transport; customer service and reception; and volunteer, job-shadowing, and internship opportunities.
The career fair is ideal for individuals seeking to explore job, internship, or volunteer opportunities. It will help attendees hone their networking skills and potentially secure a position in their chosen health science field. Some employers offer same-day interviews. so attendees should bring copies of their résumés and dress professionally.
Attendees are encouraged to:
- Bring multiple printed copies of their résumé
- Dress in professional business attire
- Claim and update their Handshake profile in advance
The job fair offers potential employees a chance to meet recruiters from various facilities. In addition to direct care providers, hospitals and other health-related businesses hire administrative and support staff.
Casper College Career Services will provide support to those needing help with their résumés. The fair will also offer Handshake workshops where attendees can learn to claim their Handshake account, build a strong profile, and search for on-campus and local job opportunities, according to Guyla Greenly, career services coordinator.
Working professionals, job seekers, and individuals exploring career options in healthcare are welcome to attend. “All attendees are encouraged to dress professionally to make a great first impression,” said Greenly.
