The Tate Geological Museum’s annual Holiday Open House will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Santasaurus will be on hand for fun photos, and visitors can make origami dinosaur ornaments, their own fossil cast of a tooth or claw, play games, and have their mystery fossils identified through the Fossil Road Show. Author Casey Rislov will also be back to host a children’s story time full of fun and Christmas cheer, according to Patti Finkle, director of museums.

“The gift shop will feature beautiful rock and mineral samples, natural gemstone jewelry, unique fossil dishes, and dozens of stocking stuffers, so attendees will find something for everyone on their lists to make this the perfect stop for all their holiday shopping,” said Finkle.

Treats will be served along with coffee and tea from P. Hawk Roasters during the open house, which is free and open to all.

The Tate Geological Museum is located on the Casper College campus.
