Wyoming author and poet, Tom Rea, will lead a writer’s workshop Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Werner Wildlife Museum. The workshop is free and open to the public.

The title of Rea’s presentation is “Your Pal the Index Card.” During the workshop, participants will learn how to write concisely and well. They will also receive tips on how to keep track, when working on a big project, of what they have already learned and where. The workshop is meant mostly for nonfiction writers, but all are welcome.

Rea is editor and co-founder, with the Wyoming State Historical Society, of WyoHistory.org. He worked for many years in the newspaper business, and his books include “Bone Wars: The Excavation and Celebrity of Andrew Carnegie’s Dinosaur,” “Devil’s Gate: Owning the Land, Owning the Story,” and “The Hole in the Wall Ranch: A History.”

No prior writing experience is necessary, and snacks will be provided.

The Werner Wildlife Museum is located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street. For more information, contact Patti Finkle, director of museums, at 307-268-3026 or pfinkle@caspercollege.edu.
