Clarinet Choir to Perform Bach’s ‘Goldberg Variations’
The Casper College Clarinet Choir, under the direction of Joshua R. Mietz, D.M.A., will perform J. S. Bach’s well-known “Goldberg Variations” on Wednesday, Nov. 14 beginning at 7 p.m.
“This work is typically performed by a solo pianist and launched the career of 20th-century pianist Glenn Gould,” said Mietz. Originally written for harpsichord, the piece has been performed by a variety of instruments, including clarinet.
The concert is free and open to the public and will take place in Wheeler Concert Hall in the Music Building on the Casper College campus.
