The Tate Geological Museum will celebrate National Fossil Day on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the museum.

This year’s event will feature local author R.V. Bailey who will be on hand to sign copies of his new book “Jurassic Underground.” Other activities include painting your own fossil cast, touring the Rex Annex, hunting for fossils, and face painting. Visitors will also be able to have their rocks and fossils identified at the Fossil Road Show.

The National Fossil Day open house is free and open to the public. Punch and cookies will be served, and there will also be door prizes for the kids. The Tate Geological Museum is located on the Casper College campus.
