Casper College forensics team excels in Idaho
Six Casper College forensics team members earned top individual honors in debate and oral interpretation.
In debate, Ellie Lehman, Gillette, took gold in novice IPDA debate, while Jackson Weiss, Casper, earned a bronze.
In oral interpretation, Loukia Savino, Lander, placed gold in program oral interpretation, and Gabe Perez, Casper, secured bronze. Austin Rozema, Buffalo, and Aniya Tegenu, Casper, partnered to earn gold in duo interpretation.
“These are the kind of results coaches always hope for,” said Ethan Fife, forensics coach. “Early-season tournaments are a direct reflection of how hard students are willing to work from Day 1. With the work ethic we’ve seen from every member of our team, I believe we only get better from here.”
The team is coached by Fife, Doug Hall, forensics coaches and communications instructors, and Casper College student Josselin House.
The Casper College forensics team will compete next at the Weber State Classic, hosted by Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
