The T-Bird Trek is Sunday, Sept. 13, and walkers and runners are urged to register today and come and join the fun event. The Trek is open to both runners and walkers, with four races to choose from: the Downhill Half-Marathon, the Lookout Point Half-Marathon, the 10K, and the 5K.
The cost to participate in the Lookout Point Half-Marathon and the Downhill Half-Marathon is $80, with the 10K at $70 and the 5K at $60. Profits from the event will support Casper College student scholarships, institutional grants, and alumni programs.
Registration is easy and available for all races here. Registration can also be completed in person at the Walter H. Nolte Gateway Center on Saturday, Sept. 12, beginning at 10 a.m. Registration for all races will end at 4 p.m. that same day.
The T-Bird Trek is for runners, family, and friends, and showcases the Casper College campus and community. “Whether you walk or run, there is always a crowd to cheer you on, delicious breakfast burritos to refuel you after your race, and recovery time by the fire pit,” said Ann Dalton, Associate Director of Development and Alumni Engagement.
According to Dalton, the T-Bird Trek was established to promote healthy lifestyles, showcase the Casper College campus, thank the Casper community for its ongoing support of Casper College, and support the Casper College Foundation and Alumni Association.
