Gerontology

A certificate in gerontology can be extremely beneficial for those pursuing a career in health care.

What are the features of Casper’s program?

Casper College’s program offers multiple experience opportunities for students to build skills working with the geriatric population. Gerontology students learn about the aging process and gain a framework to better understand the growing population of older adults.

Unique learning experiences help ease the transition from student to health care worker. For example, students have the opportunity to lead a class about falls/balances at an assisted living facility and volunteer at a local skilled nursing facility.
