The theater and dance season for 2026-2027 will feature musical comedy, drama, dance, and musical romance at Casper College. The season will feature four productions: “The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy,” “Last Train to Nibroc,” “Saddle Up!,” and “First Date: The Musical Comedy.”
2026-2027 Theater and Dance Season Lineup
The season opens with “The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy,” featuring everyone’s favorite upside-down family in a fun and heartwarming musical comedy that proves being “normal” is highly overrated.
“The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy” is directed by Joel Shura, with musical direction by Kevin Lawson and choreography by Amy Fitzsimmons. The musical comedy runs Oct. 22-24 and 29-30 at 7 p.m., with matinees Oct. 24, 25, 31, and Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
The second production, “Last Train to Nibroc,” is reminiscent of Thornton Wilder’s classic heartfelt storytelling. Written by Arlene Hutton, this critically acclaimed off-Broadway production is a funny, touching, and intimate portrait of two young souls navigating the uncertainties of a world at war. Shura also directs this production. “Last Train to Nibroc” will run Nov. 19-21 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 21 and 22 at 2 p.m.
The third production is the dance concert “Saddle Up!” written, directed, and choreographed by dance instructor Fitzsimmons. According to Fitzsimmons, her brand-new contemporary dance performance invites audiences into a performance inspired by the spirit of the American West. Drawing from the rugged landscapes, rich traditions, and larger-than-life storytelling of the spaghetti Western, this original concert reimagines the frontier through movement. Bold, cinematic, and unexpectedly heartfelt, “Saddle Up!” celebrates the myths, memories, and enduring spirit of the West. Performances of “Saddle Up!” will take place March 5-6 and 11-12 at 7 p.m. and March 6, 7, and 13 at 2 p.m.
The final production for the 2026-2027 year is “First Date: The Musical Comedy.” Directed by Shura with musical direction by Lawson, it unfolds in real time as the ultimate mismatched couple attempts to survive the dreaded modern blind date. This musical is a winner with its contemporary rock score, sharp wit, and a highly relatable script. “First Date: The Musical Comedy” will be performed April 23-24 and 29-30 at 7 p.m. and April 24, 25, and May 1 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for all productions are now on sale online at caspercollegearts.cc or available two weeks before the first show date at the box office or by phone at 307-268-2500. The box office is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets for each performance are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students ages 5 to 18, and group discounts are available for parties of 15 or more. Evening performances begin at 7 and matinees at 2 p.m.
