The ”Virginia H. Bila Nursing Scholarship” has been established in memory of Virginia H. Bila, who died Aug. 28, 2023, at 98 in Casper.

Her daughter, Rita (Bila) Stone, established the scholarship to remember her mother, who raised Rita and her three brothers, Raymond Jr., Steve, and Mike.

The scholarship will be awarded to a nursing major with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours. The scholarship, open to Wyoming and non-Wyoming residents, will be awarded during the fall and spring semesters. The amount awarded will be determined by the Casper College Foundation and Anna Miller, scholarship coordinator at Casper College.
