Many exciting job opportunities available at CC Spring Job Fair April 2

An exciting lineup of full-time, part-time, and seasonal jobs will be available at the Spring Job Fair on Tuesday, April 2. All companies in attendance will have current job openings in Casper and within Wyoming.

The fair, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 1-5 p.m. in the “Swede” Erickson Thunderbird Gym. The event will open from 1- 1:30 p.m. for veterans only.

Even if someone is not looking for a job on the day of the fair, it is important for job seekers, and especially students, to attend an event like the Casper College Spring Job Fair. According to Ashley Bergeron, a job fair is good practice for discussing career goals with others to develop their elevator pitch, make connections, and build their network for future opportunities. “Obviously, folks looking for immediate employment can be offered jobs as a result of this event, but I would like to emphasize that there is a benefit to going just for the sake of practicing talking about your employment goals, as this can help build your network and help you work on your communication skills,” noted Bergeron, career services coordinator at Casper College.

The job fair will feature employers from over 70 companies. “Job seekers should bring copies of their updated resume to hand out to employers and dress as though they were attending an interview. Some employers may want to conduct an interview on the spot,” said Bergeron.

Those needing professional business clothing can stop by the Casper College Student Success Center’s clothing closet, which has free professional business clothing options for men and women planning to attend the job fair. The free professional business clothing will also be displayed at the event, and folks can take whatever they want, said Bergeron.
