CC Forensics Team Takes Second in Berlin

The Casper College Forensics team placed second in the community college division at the International Forensics Association Tournament held recently in Berlin.

According to Doug Hall, director of forensics, this year’s tournament was the largest in the organization’s history with 22 colleges and universities in attendance. In addition to the second-place finish, Casper College also placed fifth overall. “The students had an amazing, educational time in Berlin in addition to earning such respectable marks at the tournament,” noted Hall.

Individually, Carter Dunn, Casper, placed fourth in extemporaneous speaking and second in impromptu speaking.

Chloe Adkins, Box Elder, South Dakota, was a semifinalist in public debate and champion in impromptu speaking.

Thayne Macy, Casper, was a semifinalist in extemporaneous speaking.

Jae Fletcher, Boxelder, South Dakota, took fourth in persuasive speaking.
