Ventis String Quartet Premiere Concert October 1
An exciting and new string quartet, the Ventis String Quartet, will have its premiere performance on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m. in the Wheeler Concert Hall.
The Ventis String Quartet consists of Jennifer DePaolo and Emily Denham on violins, Gary DePaolo on viola, and Timothy Jones on cello. Both DePaolos and Jones are music instructors at Casper College. All four quartet members perform regularly with the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and other regional orchestras, including the Cheyenne and Billings Symphony Orchestras, according to Jennifer DePaolo, music instructor.
The concert features works by Finnish composer Aulis Sallinen, American composer Philip Glass, and Ludwig van Beethoven. A reception will be held immediately following the recital.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for those 60 and older, and free for students and children. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
The Casper College Music Department and the Casper Chamber Music Society cosponsor the Ventis String Quartet Premiere Concert.
The Wheeler Concert Hall is located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus.
