The Center for Training and Development at Casper College is offering a comprehensive institute for nonprofit professionals. “The Nonprofit Director’s Institute” begins Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019.

The comprehensive institute has been designed to give nonprofit professionals the necessary skills to become proficient leaders for their organization.

The institute will cover business management, strategic and succession plans, financial reports, human resources, marketing, safety, boards, resource development, grant writing, planned giving, and endowments. Leadership skill development will include leadership skills, facilitative leadership, generational differences, and candid conversations. Those who successfully complete the institute will receive a certificate of completion, according to Sarah Schneider, workforce training specialist.

In addition, the institute will provide attendees the opportunity to network with peers and connect to resources through local and regional industry experts. Instructors for the sessions will include industry experts and community leaders, said Schneider.

The institute will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 18-19, Oct. 16-17, Nov. 20-21, and Dec. 11-12. The cost per person is $1,375 and includes daily lunches and snacks.
