Walkers are welcome to participate in the Third Annual T-Bird Trek on the Casper College campus on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.

According to Linda Nix, association director for alumni relations, walkers can walk the 5K and enjoy the beautiful Casper College campus, then relax at the finish line and listen to The Last Coyote alternative western band and enjoy breakfast burritos from Qdoba Mexican Eats.

Those who are more ambitious and wish to see a broader view of campus can participate in the 10K or half-marathon. Participants who don’t care about their time can skip the timing chip and set out on the course before the runners start at 7 a.m., said Nix. She encourages those participating before 7 a.m. to wear reflective clothing and carry their own water since the aid stations won’t be open until the Trek officially starts at 7. Both walkers and runners interested in a nontimed, early start of 6:30 a.m., need to email racedirector@caspercollege.edu for permission and further details

The fees are $70 for the half marathon, $90 for the two-person half marathon relay, $45 for the 10k, and $35 for the 5k. Children 12 and under run free in the 5k with a registered adult but aren’t eligible for timing and t-shirts.

To register, go to caspercollege.edu/tbird-trek, or call 307-268-2325, or 800-442-2963, extension 2325.

Profits from the event will support scholarships for Casper College students, institutional grants, and alumni programs.
