Paint like a caveman and more fun at Fossil Day Oct. 19

The Tate Geological Museum will celebrate Fossil Day on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There is no charge to participate in the annual family-friendly event.

Families will enjoy hands-on activities, including painting like a caveman and playing “Sort the Dinosaurs.” “Tours of the T rex Annex will be available, and there will also be a presentation on the differences between paleontology and archeology,” said Dalene Hodnett, director of museums.

The Tate Geological Museum is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The museum is located on the southern end of the Casper College campus near the T-rex statue​
