How do Birds Survive the Winter?
“Staying Alive: How Birds Survive a Wyoming Winter” is the topic for the November Werner Wildlife Study Group on Thursday, Nov. 16 beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to all.
Not all birds fly south for the winter. How do those species that overwinter in Wyoming deal with the state’s subzero temperatures, harsh wind, and frozen landscape? Attendees will find out the answers from Donna and Bruce Walgren, Audubon Society birding experts at this wild bird-centered presentation.
The monthly presentations of the Werner Wildlife Study Group take place in the Werner Wildlife Museum, located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street. For more information call the museum at 307-235-2108 or email indiahayford@caspercollege.edu.
