To maintain academic integrity and meet AMATYC standards, all Casper College Mathematics and Statistics courses require that at least 50% of the final grade comes from proctored assessments (such as exams, verified projects, or presentations). These assessments verify student identity and authorship. Testing may occur on campus or through instructor-approved services. Students are responsible for all scheduling, technical requirements, and potential costs. We are committed to accessibility; please contact the Disability Services Office early to arrange any necessary accommodations.

The study of mathematics requires active problem-solving and original thought. Relying on anything or anyone that removes the requirement for you, the student, to engage in mathematical reasoning should NOT be used for any part of any assignment. While generative AI tools may be used to explore ideas, create practice problems, or check understanding, they are learning aids. All submitted work must be written in your own words and reflect your genuine understanding. Submitting AI-generated text or solutions as your own constitutes academic dishonesty. Any permitted AI use must be clearly documented, including the tool, prompt, and output. Students must be able to explain and justify their submitted work verbally upon request.

The mathematics and statistics departments at Casper College are truly world class. The professors are passionate experts in their chosen domains, and they bring expertise into the classroom every day. At the higher levels, the coursework is fast-paced, rigorous, and challenging, but this experience more than prepared me for the complexity of higher-level mathematics when I moved on.
