The Casper College Forensics Team returned from “The Litrenta Triangle at Harper College” Novice Individual Events and Debate Tournament with both team and individual wins.

According to Douglas Hall, communications instructor and head coach, the team placed sixth out of 18 teams in individual events and fourth in debate. “We had the smallest entry at the tournament, so this is a good representation of the level and quality at which our students compete,” he said.

Individually, Chloe Adkins, Rapid City, South Dakota, took gold, top speaker tie, in international public debate; silver in impromptu speaking; and bronze in informative speaking.

Carter Dunn from Casper took gold in three categories: top speaker tie, in international public debate; extemporaneous speaking; and impromptu speaking. Dunn also scored bronze in informative speaking.

Mary Schroer, also of Casper, took gold in speech to entertain and group communication.
