Reports to:

Human Resources, Gateway Building, room 402

Hours:

10-15 hrs/wk (10am-12pm, 11am-1pm, or 12pm-2pm) Monday-Friday. Hours are available in the summer months and regular school year. Student must be able to work during these hours to cover the reception desk during the lunch period.

Pay:

$12.00 an hour

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

The HR front desk is the first contact employees and external customers encounter when coming to or calling our office. This is great opportunity for student interested in developing office skills. The student in this position will greet each person that walks through our doors, direct traffic to the appropriate location, answer phones/direct calls, assist student employees with onboarding paperwork, scan documents into Etrieve, and assist with various projects for the HR Team.
• Greet each student/visitor with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Assist new student employees with onboarding process:
o I9/W4
o Review pay options and overview of student employment
o May enroll student in orientations and submit Web tickets for IT access
• Operate multi-line phone system and answer in a friendly and professional manner
• Complete various office tasks and projects such as scanning documents into Etrieve, data entry, mailings, filing, mail distribution etc.
• Assist with recruitment needs (packets, transcribing notes, swag bags and gear)
• Maintain strict confidentiality; specifically, while working with employee and students

Work Environment:
Typical work environment is an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. Short periods of time will be spent outdoors travelling between campus buildings in various weather conditions. Frequent interaction with the students, employees, and public may occur.

Physical Demands:
Employees are regularly required to sit, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use computers, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required (office supplies, paper boxes, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service and phone skills
• Computer proficiency and a willingness to learn new technology
