Casper College welding program graduates can expect a rewarding career in the field of welding and joining.

You will learn several different arc and gas welding processes, and join various types of metal while perfecting hand skills. In addition, Casper College emphasizes safe practice and proper maintenance on all equipment.

What are the features of Casper’s program?

Course topics include:

  • Welding process and theory
  • Blueprint understanding
  • Welding symbol identification
  • Industry codes and standards

Through hands-on job-related simulations, you will practice the latest techniques in:

  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
  • Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Automated submerged arc welding
  • Plasma applications

Instructors at Casper College have experience in industry welding operations and welding inspection across the United States. They are also certified through the American Welding Society and receive ongoing training to stay up-to-date in industry standards.

Although this is an A.A.S. degree, graduates from this program may apply this degree toward an online applied science degree at the University of Wyoming at Casper.
