Three Lady Thunderbirds receive regional recognition

Casper College Lady Thunderbirds’ basketball players Andi Schissler, Luna Ueda, and Adama Badjie Coly have been named to the 2025 All-Region 9 team. The three were honored for their high level of play during the 2024-2025 regular season.
For the second year, sophomore guard Schissler from Kersey, Colorado, was named to the All-Region Team along with freshman guard Ueda from Tokyo and Coly, a sophomore guard from Mataró, Barcelona, Spain, was also named to the All-Defensive Team.
During the 2024-2025 regular season, Schissler averaged 18.9 points per game, Ueda 11.8, and Coly 11.7. “These young ladies worked very hard all season long for this honor. They are very deserving of it. The team as a whole deserves a lot of credit for these awards,” said Nate Macy, assistant coach.
“Andi, Luna, and Adama were very deserving of their selection to the All-Region 9 team,” said Dwight Gunnare, head coach. “They have had an outstanding season and have been extremely instrumental in our team’s success this year. It is definitely an honor for them because there were a lot of outstanding players in the region this year,” he added.
A total of 20 players are selected for the All-Region team, 10 from the North and 10 from the South. A total of 10 players were chosen for the defensive team, with five from the North and five from the South.
