Meet Brandon R. Kosine, presidential finalist, March 28 in community forum

The Casper community is invited to attend a public forum for Casper College presidential candidate Brandon R. Kosine, Ph.D., on Friday, March 28, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. The forum will be held at the Robert and Ruth Dove Conference Center, Rm. 225 in the Walter H. Nolte Gateway Center on the Casper College campus.
The forum will allow the public to meet Kosine, ask questions, and share their feedback. Attendees will also have the opportunity to complete a survey regarding Kosine. A QR code for a survey will be distributed at the session so attendees can give their feedback.
Currently, Kosine serves as the interim president of Casper College, a role he has held since May 2024. Before this role, he served as vice president of academic affairs for six years, dean of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and a psychology instructor at Casper College starting in 2012.
Kosine, a Wyoming native from Sheridan, holds a doctorate in counselor education and supervision from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pittsburg State University in Kansas, and a bachelor’s in psychology from UW. Before transitioning into higher education, he worked as an alcohol and drug counselor at a community mental health center and as a master’s level psychologist in an inpatient psychiatric unit. He is also a licensed professional counselor and addictions therapist in Wyoming.
Outside of Casper College, Kosine serves on the boards of Advance Casper and the Casper College Foundation and is a member and past president of Five Trails Rotary. He has also chaired the ServeWyoming Commission, served on the board of the Casper Humane Society, and worked with the Special Olympics Festival of Trees fundraiser.
“I believe I have the skills, attributes, and vision to lead Casper College through its next phase of growth and continue our tradition of excellence,” said Kosine. “I am deeply rooted in Casper, and I have a solid understanding of our area and our needs,” he added.
