The Casper College Workforce Development department is offering three classes to increase computer skills. “Nearly all industries in the current employment market require a certain level of computer skills,” noted Sarah Schneider, workforce training specialist.

The first class, Computer Skills for the Workplace, includes 12 lessons, starting with an overview of workplace technology. The class continues with lessons on Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. The final class will help students “ … identify ways to use your computer skills to find a new job (or) … to use those same computer skills to get a promotion within your current organization.” The cost for the six-week class is $129.

The next class offered is Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint 2019/Office 365. According to Schneider, the six-week course is perfect for beginners using the latest PowerPoint software. Students will learn how to use PowerPoint’s functions to create professional-quality presentations. The cost for the class is $147.

Finally, Microsoft Excel 2019 Series is for those new to or who need a refresher on Excel 2019. According to Schneider, the first class includes Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2019, which focuses on the fundamentals of Excel 2019. Intermediate Microsoft Excel 2019 builds on the fundamental techniques and helps you master charting and more. You will finish with Advanced Microsoft Excel 2019, where you will master advanced features that most users don’t even know exist. There are no prerequisites for the 72-hour course, which costs $390.
