Auditions for a brand-new dance concert, “WonderOZ,” will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. The audition is open to all members of the Casper community, 16 and older.

“WonderOZ” is the brainchild of Casper College Dance Instructor Jodi Youmans-Jones, who choreographed the story of what would happen if Dorothy from the “Wizard of Oz” and Alice from “Alice in Wonderland” met.

Auditioners are asked to come 10 to 15 minutes early to fill out an audition form. Following a short warmup, everyone auditioning should be ready to dance barefoot, with socks, or wear jazz shoes, according to Youmans-Jones.

Auditions will be held in the Barbara N. and Leland F. Scifers Dance Studio, Rm 159, on the south side of the Gertrude Krampert Center for Theatre and Dance on the Casper College campus.

The contemporary dance concert will run Feb. 20 through 22 and Feb. 27 through March 1.
