The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, OLLI at Casper College, and Community Education at Casper College are accepting class proposals for the spring 2025 semester through Wednesday, Sept. 4. Late submissions will not be considered.

“The community education and lifelong learning staff are eager to see class ideas from those who would like to share their talents, hobbies, and skills with the community,” said Jena Stute, OLLI coordinator.

The staff provides free assistance to help with brainstorming ideas, creating a curriculum, and structuring classes for those new to teaching. Classes range from one hour to four weeks and are noncredit, meaning no grades, quizzes, or homework. “The mission of Casper College’s Community Education and Lifelong Learning departments is to promote learning for the love of it,” Stute noted.

“Instructors come from all walks of life and teach various subjects from art to cooking, local lore to world history, animal science to technology, movies to health and fitness, and much more,” said Zhanna Gallegos, community education coordinator.

Although OLLI at Casper College is a vibrant learning community for members over 50, however, OLLI is open to anyone 18 or older. According to Stute, OLLI classes must incorporate an educational or historical component tailored to OLLI members. Community education classes are for people over 18 who want to learn something new for personal enrichment and growth.

The 2025 spring term runs from Tuesday, Jan. 21, to Saturday, May 31. Instructors must be 18 or older, and no formal credentials are required. More information can be found here or by calling 307-268-3401. To submit a proposal, click here.
