CC Chamber Singers joined by BHSU Chamber Singers April 17 in concert
The Casper College Chamber Singers will join the Black Hills State University Chamber Singers in a special concert on Wednesday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in the Wheeler Concert Hall.
“The BHSU Chamber Singers are on tour in the region, and there are currently two Casper College alumni in the choir — Samuel Orr and Jossilyn Miller — both of whom graduated with music degrees from Casper College last year and are former members of our CC Chamber Singers and Triple-C,” said Zachary Vreeman, choral director. The Black Hills State University Chamber Singers are under the direction of Jonathan Nero.
According to Vreeman, the program includes a wide variety of choral music. The choirs will sing two pieces together, “Sure on this Shining Night” by Morton Lauridsen and “Alleluia” by Elaine Hagenberg.
“For me, it’s great to see my former students again, but especially those who are working on the next step, finishing music education degrees at a four-year college,” said Vreeman.
The concert is free and open to the public. The Wheeler Concert Hall is located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus.
