The current show at the Mildred Zahradnicek Gallery, “Bumpa’s Garden,” will end Thursday, May 12. The show features beautiful floral oil paintings by Gail Schenfisch.

“My inspiration for this show is from a lifetime of beautiful flower gardens tended by my parents. My father, known as Bumpa to his grandchildren, worked long days in his garden until the age of 90,” said Schenfisch.

The paintings are bold and colorful. According to Schenfisch, her father’s flower beds featured tulips and hybrid iris of every color. Each painting is representative of the flowers that could be found in her father’s garden.

The Mildred Zahradnicek Gallery is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and is located in the Music Building on the Casper College campus.
