Forbes New Assistant Rodeo Coach at Casper College
Sandy Forbes is the new assistant rodeo coach for Casper College.
Forbes is no stranger to Casper or the Casper College rodeo team. A 2001 Casper College graduate, Forbes earned his A.S.S. in welding in 2001 and was a College National Finals Rodeo qualifier in saddle bronc in 2001.
Following college, Forbes continued to rodeo. From 2001 to 2006 he was the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Mountain States Circuit Finals qualifier. In 2004 and 2005, Forbes was the saddle bronc director for PRCA Mountain States. He was a member of the PRCA from 1999 to 2013 and competed in saddle bronc riding.
While still at Casper College Forbes began Rodeo Productions Forbes Rodeo Company which produces and contracts rodeos locally. In 2008 he started another business venture, Forbes Outfitters, LLC. In addition, since 2005, he has served as a mentor and coach for both individuals and groups in rough stock.
“Being a previous rodeo T-Bird, I enjoy the chance to give others the same opportunities that I had. One of my biggest passions is helping younger kids thrive in (their) academics, personal, and professional goals,” said Forbes.
“I am very excited to have him on board. Sandy Bob and his family are very deep in the rough stock business of Wyoming. His knowledge and drive will be a true asset,” said Jhett Johnson, head coach of the Casper College Rodeo team.
