Casper College Public Relations Department Recognized with Medallion Awards

The Casper College Public Relations Department was recognized at the 2017 National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 4 Conference held October 26-28 with seven Medallion Awards of Excellence in marketing and public relations.

The Casper College 2016-17 Men’s and Women’s Basketball program received a Gold Medallion of Excellence in the sports brochure or sports program category. The department also won the bronze in the same category for the Casper College 2016-17 rodeo program.

Two Silver Medallion Awards of Excellence were awarded in the category of magazine for the Casper College Alumni Magazine Footprints and in the original photography category for a manipulated photo titled, “Catch That Goat.”

The department also received three other Bronze Medallion Awards of Excellence for the Casper College viewbook, the new Casper College Arts microsite, and for an unmanipulated photo titled “At the Rodeo.”

District 4 is the only regional competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges. In addition to Wyoming, the states of Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas are part of District 4.
