Two Information Nights Set for Latino Community

Noche de Información! The Latino community is invited to attend one of two special college information nights sponsored by Casper College. Both events are free.

The first will take place on Thursday, Nov. 9 beginning at 6 p.m. at Don Juan Mexican Restaurant. The second event will take place on Tuesday, Nov 14 beginning at 6 p.m. at Tacos Mexico.

Noche de Información serves as an opportunity for Latino students in the Casper community to come and learn about Casper College, according to Dalia Pedro Trujillo, admissions representative. “We hope that students and their families will come to either of our events and let us know what questions and concerns they might have about college and the admission process,” said Pedro Trujillo. Both nights will include fun, food, family, and facts about Casper College.

Attending college is a likely aspiration for many Latinos in Natrona County, but that aspiration might seem unattainable. Both information nights are designed to help future students and their families learn about the help and opportunities available at Casper College including English as a Second Language classes, high school equivalency classes, and admission to Casper College to earn a certificate or degree.

Those who attend will be able to dine with Casper College faculty, staff, and students at no charge in a fun and casual atmosphere. “We are thankful to Don Juan’s and Tacos Mexico for partnering with us for these important events,” Pedro Trujillo noted.
