Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Job Description:
The position of Student Ambassador is the first friendly face students see when pursuing Casper College through social media channels, tour experiences, and Student Success visitors. The student in this position may create social media content, provide upbeat and in-depth campus tours, greet students in the Student Success Center, schedule appointments, and be an overall warm, welcoming, and helpful presence.
Potential Job Duties:
– Represent the mission and the values of Casper College
– Conduct campus tours: showing visitors campus and answering questions in a professional and personable manner
– Warmly provide assistance to all visitors by listening to their requests and guiding them to the appropriate resource for help
– Operate multi-line phone system and answer in a friendly and professional manner
– Maintain appointment schedule
– Be familiar with admissions, registration, advising, and other student services
– Respond to general office emails for Student Services or forward to the appropriate person
– Complete various office tasks and projects such as data entry, mailings, filing, etc.
– Maintain strict confidentiality; specifically while working with students and student information in various modalities
– Create authentic, engaging, and appropriate social media content that accurately reflects Casper College
– Maintain the job board online and in office
– Run on-campus errands
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree-seeking student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at CC or a partnership institution. – Good academic standing, minimum 2.00 GPA
– Availability to participate in both on-campus and off campus event
– Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft products
– “Students First” customer service approach
– Strong written and oral communication skills
– Able to adapt quickly to changing student needs in a rapidly moving environment
– Open-minded and willing to engage with a diverse population
– Self-directed and driven to learn
