Company Description:
Purposeful People, Inc. provides employment and community-based services to adults and youth with disabilities. PPI has been incorporated since 2005 and has recently been awarded a contract for a youth program for job exploration.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Assist persons with employment challenges to learn soft skills, explore career options, complete assessments, and model social skills, accountability, and good communication skills. Provide support for job seekers such as assisting with applications, creating resumes, improving interviewing skills, etc… Must be comfortable with contacting clients and businesses. We work one on one and in small groups. Use computer programs and technology daily to keep accurate records and submit documentation in a timely manner. Minimum 10 hours per week, average 15 hours per week if working consistently, 20 hours per week possible but that really depends on your schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
Looking for passion for service, self-motivated, outgoing, accountable individual. Must be over 18, be able to pass a background check, have reliable transportation, be able to transport others, exhibit good communication skills, computer skills, professional appearance. Education is a plus and we can be flexible with school schedules. Experience with persons with disabilities, youth, HR, and/or service industry is also valued. An apprenticeship can be available. We are willing to train the right person who can commit to at least 1 year or more of service and work toward a Certified Employment Support Professional credential.
