Ranch and Agrotourism Management

Agricultural enterprises are evolving. From their roots in traditional production agriculture to the addition of guest management, ranch managers are being challenged to acquire new skills and broader management techniques. This new certificate has been designed to train the next generation of ranch and agrotourism managers, without reducing the aggregate importance of production agriculture.

What are the features of Casper’s program?

The ranch and agrotourism management certificate is best fit for:

  • Current ranch supervisors and managers.
  • Those desiring to advance their career in ranch management.
  • Those desiring to enter or currently working in the hospitality and tourism industry including dude ranches, outdoor guide services, guest and hunting lodges, and more.

This is a one-year certificate program in operating a holistic agriculture enterprise:

  • Learn the latest in ranch management practices including incorporating hospitality and tourism changes into your operation.
  • Get experience and validation of your learning through an internship that exposes you to the people and operations in this evolving industry.

What are the special admission requirements, if any?

You must apply to this program separate and in addition to the Casper College application. Space is limited. Applicants will be required to interview with a program selection committee.

Your program application is complete only when all of the following items are received by the program director:

  • This online application for program admission
  • Three (3) recommendation letters
  • One-page autobiography written by you, the applicant
  • Official academic transcripts from all the high schools, colleges and universities you have attended
  • Recent photo of yourself (optional)
