All USPS mail and intercampus mail is delivered Monday-Friday. If you are sending a letter that needs to be sent “certified with a return receipt” please have it ready before noon of the day you want it sent. All outgoing mail will be processed no later than 2:00 pm. on the day it is picked up.
Work-related mail
- U.S. Mail:
All of the College’s mail with a return address of “Casper College” must have material related to the College in order to comply with postal regulations. Postage will be affixed by the machine located in the mail room. Please put your department name or office in the upper left hand corner above the return address. Packages over 13 oz. will be accepted only if they contain College-related materials. Do not use glitter or red envelopes. Including pens, tassels, lapel pins or other items inside envelopes will change it to a parcel at a substantial increase in cost. - International mail:
- Addressing the letter:
The full address must be typed or clearly written in English. You can use a foreign language address in the address section if the names of the city, province, and country are also indicated in English. Foreign postal codes, if used, should be placed on the line above the destination country. Send international mail in standard white, manila, or recycled paper envelopes or boxes. WINDOWED ENVELOPES ARE NOT ACCEPTED. We recommend you print your delivery addresses in ALL UPPERCASE letters in the following order:Line 1: Name of Addressee
Line 2: Street address or post office box number
Line 3: City or Town name, other principal subdivision (such as Province, State, or County)
Line 4: Postal Code

Bulk Mailing
Automated Bulk Mailing
A bulk mailing consists of 200 or more pieces of mail. All pieces must be identical in size, texture and content. It is absolutely critical that all pieces have the same content. The United States Postal Service (USPS) will check a few pieces from each mailing. If they find any discrepancy (i.e. student passwords, individual financial information, etc.) they will reject the mailing. Pieces cannot be forwarded or returned without additional cost.
If your department has a bulk mailing (domestic mail only – no international addresses), it can be processed under the CC Bulk Permit (Non-Profit Organization) at the non-profit rate. The college will realize substantial postage savings by using bulk mail, which is processed at a lower rate than first class mail.
If you would like to schedule a mailing; are not sure if your mailing qualifies as a bulk mailing; or have any general bulk mailing questions please contact Liz Romsa (268-2048).
Certain criteria must be met, and the following procedures should be followed:
- Please schedule your mailings as early as possible. We strive to complete bulk mailings in as timely fashion as possible. We keep a schedule that is on a first come first serve basis.
- Because the mailing permit is under Casper College, the USPS requires that the first line of the return address on each piece of mail must read “Casper College”.
- Please email the address file in an excel format. Please send an easy to follow spreadsheet. We require first and last name, street, city, state and zip. Please include company, title, etc if applicable.
- Mailing should be mail ready, have your department name as part of the return address, with all pieces facing the same direction. We can seal #10 envelopes, all others must be sealed.
- If your piece requires folding or tabbing, we will send them to AMBI which will add a day or two for completion.
- When bulk mailing is ready, please contact Liz @2048 to set up a time to have your mailing picked up or bring your bulk mailing to the mail room at the Maintenance building, 2nd floor (201) during normal working hours.
