Student Orientation, Academics and Resources — SOAR
SOAR — Student Orientation, Academics, and Resources — is designed to provide you with the information you need to be successful at Casper College and beyond.
SOAR is your orientation to your new life as a T-Bird. You’ll meet and build connections with other students, faculty, and staff, tour campus, and enjoy various activities and breakout sessions.
We believe in you and are committed to providing the support you need to feel confident and ready to TAKE FLIGHT!
When is SOAR? How do I sign up?
SOAR will be on Friday, Aug. 16, and you can choose either the morning or afternoon session. Sign up early to reserve your spot, and your families are welcome to attend with you.
Morning: 9 a.m. to noon — lunch served at the end of the event
Afternoon: 1 to 4 p.m. — lunch served at the beginning of the event
Can’t make it to a SOAR event?
During SOAR, you can:
- Meet and engage with other students and staff
- Be introduced to campus resources
- Learn strategies to be successful in the classroom
- Have lunch with faculty and staff
- Get your student ID
Optional activities:
- Financial aid meetings
- Campus, residence halls, and classroom tours
- Visit the bookstore and purchase your books
- Parent resources
