What are the features of Casper’s program?

Machine Tool Technology instructor, Mark McCool,  talks about the program and what it has to offer.

The Machine Tool Technology program at Casper College provides students with the opportunity to learn skills necessary to work in the precision metalworking profession. Students learn basic machine tools such as band saws, vertical milling machines, engine and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes and horizontal grinders. At the same time, we emphasize safety and responsibility in the work place.

We will teach you how to set up and operate machines. You will learn to program and operate computer-numerically controlled (CNC) milling machines and lathes. Also, we now have a brand new MULTI AXIS CNC Turning center.  We will cover the operation of precision measurement and test equipment used by metals manufacturing industries, and help you understand and identify the many different materials and processes used by industry.

Although this is an A.A.S. degree, graduates from this program may apply this degree toward an online applied science degree at the University of Wyoming at Casper.
