CC’s Workforce Development offers short-term essential computer skills classes

The Casper College Workforce Development department is offering three short-term classes on essential computer skills for the workplace that can be taken at any time.

“Nearly all industries in the current employment market require a certain level of computer skills. These three classes will allow participants to gain the necessary skills needed to either join the workforce or advance their career on their schedule,” said Sarah Schneider, workforce training specialist.

“Computer Skills for the Workplace” consists of 12 lessons to provide the computer skills necessary to succeed in today’s modern workplace. The class will cover Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and others. Lessons will also cover using the internet and how to transfer and protect data. The cost for “Computer Skills for the Workplace” is $129. To register for the class, go here.

“Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint 2019/Office 365“ will allow students to go from making so-so PowerPoints to creating PowerPoints that are professional and attention-grabbing slide presentations. The 12-lesson class is perfect for beginners wanting to learn the latest PowerPoint software and create presentations that will contribute to the company they work for. “Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint 2019/Office 365“ costs $147. The final offering, “Microsoft Excel 2019 Series,” will introduce Microsoft Excel 2019 and then provide both intermediate and advanced training in the spreadsheet software. The class consists of 72 course hours and is for those who are either new to Excel or need a refresher. The cost of “Microsoft Excel 2019 Series” is $390. To register for this class, go here.
