| My career at Casper College started in 2004 as a part time student. Starting slowly, I worked my way up to full time status. I also became a volunteer with the Adult Learning Center in the fall of 2005 via a service learning project, which was a requirement of my government course. I went on to become a work study student with the ALC in May of 2006, then was hired part time and then full time. I received my AAS in Para Education in 2007 and my AS in Elementary Education (graduating with distinction) in 2008. At some point in time, I would like to complete my Bachelor's degree. |
| My responsibilities include entering data into the LACES database, filing, answering the phone and checking students in and out. I set up appointments for future and current students. Running errands and hunting down information is just a small part of what I get to do. Once in a while I get to help tutor students, which is the favorite part of my job. |
| I was born and raised in Burlingame, KS. I came to Wyoming for the summer in 1981 and have been here ever since. My husband, Alan, started out as my softball coach. After 2 dates, we were engaged; we were married 5 months later which was over 30 years ago! We have 3 sons, 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter so far. We make our home in Glenrock, WY.
Spending time with my husband and family, reading, and watching football and wrestling are a few of my hobbies. I am a doting grandma, babysitting when I can! I am involved with our church as a clerk, Bible study teacher and anywhere else I am needed. I have been a literacy volunteer for over 20 years. I am on the board of the Glenrock Booster Club and Casper Midget Football Association. I have been involved with over 20 projects with World Changers as a participant, crew chief, runner or lunch lugger (someone who brings lunches to the work sites). I have been a pairing official for USA Wrestling for over 12 years. Even though our children are out of the house, we are constantly busy! |
